Adoption of SSB practices by UK developers and social housing landlords will demonstrate the benefits of SSBs to the construction industry, people and communities. Launch of SSB home and community projects provide in particular:

• Demonstration of the highest Social Environment and Responsible commitments
• Demonstration of the UK's commitment and developers/construction ability to reduce the widest environmental impacts from buildings
• Demonstration of the capabilities of a densely populated nation with low levels of environmental capacity to derive pragmatic SSB and environmental solutions  
• Demonstration of improved and lower through-life building management and maintenance costs especially for social housing landlords
• Demonstration of lower SSB running costs to householders/social housing landlords/tenants with reductions in government social housing benefit burden
• Research and Development opportunities towards 'real' green economic benefits for all including both UK and International markets

The SSB Programme is actively seeking opportunities to work with partners and supporters to create and demonstrate the above benefits though SSB projects.
